The "Original Pre-Evo-Sunday" at Lake Moehne, near the city of Soest, took place this your for the 5th time. The weather was everything else than "golden" at this weekend in the end of october. Gray skys and pretty cold temperatures let me think for a while before I decided to get into the gear and head down for the road to attend. Probably this was pretty much the last Pre-Evo-Sunday for this riding season.

"As usual in the past years the Pre-Evo-Sunday at Lake Moehne took place the day after the Bluesparty in the near by village of Schmallenberg. Eventhough the weatherforcasts announced gray and bad weather for this sunday the day started with just light clouds. Still with a light headache and dark rings underneath my eyes I made my way from the village of Schmallenberg, were the bluesparty took place the night before, towards the beautiful region of Sauerland and the Lake Moehne.
I arrived as the very first one in front of the Bar "Geronimo" were the Pre-Evo-Sunday should take place. No other vehicle there. Not even a car. The bar should open at 11a.m. and I it was just 10:30 by then. Anyway I had plenty of time for a good breakfast before the other bikers would arrive.

The first Pre-Evo-Bikes arrived at noon in front of the bar. A conversation was started easily. I ordered a special table were we sat down and had some food and a couple of hot drinks to get warm from the ride. One Biker after the other arrived and the table was crowded pretty quick. Even Gerry made his way (200km one way) to be there.

As the coulds turned darker and darker we spread to head back home before the rain started. I rode a good part of the way together with Gerry before we split. Just 20km before I reached my home the rain caught me and I got my ass all wet. Of course you won´t stop to get into the raingear when you´re just a couple of miles away from home....

This has probably been my last ride for this year. What a great end of good riding season!
